Project Overview

As the Lead User Experience Designer at Get-CSI, I worked on Collaboration Hub, an effort to update and streamline an existing project management web platform. The goal was to make its complex functionality more accessible to new markets—especially large property management firms like ISPT Property and URBIS.

Role & Objectives

My initial role focused on clarifying the platform’s value through product videos, marketing materials, and the public website. These assets aimed to communicate sophisticated use cases in an intuitive, engaging way. Once complete, my task shifted to redesigning the interface to demonstrate workflows tailored to the property sector.

Process & Strategy

We started by studying current customers’ usage patterns on the desktop app, conducting interviews to uncover pain points and mapping out user journeys for different roles. From these insights, I designed screen flows and wireframes to highlight property-specific use cases—like asset management, maintenance scheduling, and bespoke reporting.

Prototyping for mobile was particularly challenging. The desktop app was data-heavy and highly customised for each client, so translating those workflows into a small screen required ruthless prioritisation. We held workshops with stakeholders to define essential tasks, explored information hierarchy options, and tested early concepts to see how they performed with users.

Changes & Reflection

Ultimately, the project did not proceed to development. Factors included the complexity of custom implementations and the need for deep technical alignment that wasn’t feasible within the timeline.

Despite this, the project was invaluable for sharpening my ability to translate user research into clear, flexible design solutions—and for learning how to facilitate tough conversations about scope and feasibility. Even without a final build, our work created a foundation of insights the client can return to when they’re ready to revisit mobile in the future.
