Adjacent to Foy’s Arcade in Melbourne (My workplace at the time) a neighbouring tenancy was vacant. The client was looking to simultaneously cover the glass windows of the vacant space, and act as wayfinding for our workplace, where customers could learn more about the history of the building and the story behind the arcade.

Through previous research we had a library of content scraped from the web, going back to the 1950’s. And in combination with the modern graphics I produced some years earlier, i was able to put together a design that would meet the brief, and look like an extension of our workspace, mirroring some of the brickwork and fun attitude, as well as the historical content hinting to the history of the project.
I then added floor decals as wayfinding pointing to the front door, which added a dimension of playfulness to the work.
